Five BSE graduate students heading out to present at conferences between now and March have won awards to defray travel expenses.

Aaron Engel, Eric Farris and Himmy Lo each won an Elenore Gakemeier Swarts travel award of $500, and Tyler Kozisek and Amy Mantz each won a College of Engineering travel award of $500.

The Elenore Gakemeier Swarts travel award recognizes outstanding students who plan to present their research findings at conferences.

The College of Engineering Graduate Student Conference Travel Grant program assists engineering students who are first authors presenting their research in posters or presentations at scientific conferences.
