If there are chemicals and dust that would affect your health, especially if you have heart disease, asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions, consider
• working with your office door closed.
• wearing a mask when outside of your office or near the renovation area.
• using an air purifier within a closed office.
• working from home, if necessary.

Take precautions to protect your ears from loud noises, with
• closed doors.
• noise-canceling headphones.
• earplugs.

Use proper body mechanics when lifting boxes and moving furniture, and remember to
• bend from the knees.
• keep items close to your body.
• turn with your legs instead of twisting from the waist.
• ask for help with heavy items.

Pay close attention to your surroundings in order to
• observe any posted signs.
• stay safely outside of taped-off construction zones.
• avoid tripping over any debris or extension cords.
• establish alternative exits, as regular evacuation routes may be obstructed.
