4th of July
4th of July

What do you plan to do for the 4th of July, and is it different this year than what you would normally do (because of Co-vid)?

"In years past my husband and I would often go to a friend’s or family member’s house to celebrate, but this year we will be celebrating at home. We’ll be grilling some Nathan’s hotdogs and then setting up chairs in our driveway to watch the neighbors light their fireworks. Then we’ll probably sit around the fire pit and listen to the pops, booms and crackles for a while longer. There will be music and drinks involved with the grilling and fire pit.

Hang out with our kids at home, which is pretty typical for the 4th for us! Make homemade ice cream, play with our really cool shark water slide, do some small fireworks, go for a bike ride, then maybe watch a movie outside with our projector and big screen as other fireworks go off!
WHAT IS NOT ON THE AGENDA - avoid the Emergency Room! 2 years in a row we ended up there – one for a straw puncture to the back of the throat barely missing a tonsil (man, that was a lot of blood), the next year for stitches – FYI 5-year-olds trying to cut watermelon are not a good mix!

I plan to hang with my family at our cabin social distancing style!
