Job Title: Early Childhood Mental Health Outreach and Training Specialist
Where do you hail from:
Native to Nebraska! Go Huskers!
What is it they say you do:
Train and educate professionals on the importance of early childhood mental health.
What is your passion/what you are drawn to/what motivates you/where do you hope to be in five years:
My passion is working with children in foster and adoptive homes and educating parents and professionals that directly impact children’s growth and development. I am always motivated to help others and make an impact.
Family life/hobbies /community involvement:
I have been married for 12 years and have two boys that are 8 and almost 10. We also have two foster children that are 1 and 2 years old that we are hoping to adopt in the near future. My husband works with the First Baptist Church of Kearney, NE and we are actively involved there. We also have volunteered with Royal Family Kids Camp of Grand Island for the last 12 years.
The quotation I live my life by is......
“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” (Romans 5:3-5)
