I’m an Iron Man fan from the 80s, long before the movies.
What has been your greatest source of career satisfaction/ proudest achievement:
Any time I take on a new project and learn some platform or technology. In 2014, I the desktops and servers I supported scored 98% on our security audit with the IRS.
What has been an unexpected detour/ greatest frustration/disappointment:
Leaving my state job of 20 years, doing well with a private sector job for a year, only to be terminated because of COVID. But hey, it led me to working with this fine University and the fine people that I work with, so it has been a great opportunity in the end.
What is your passion/what you are drawn to/what motivates you/where do you hope to be in five years:
Learning new things and helping others with technology. In 5 years, I hope to have settled into this new, wonderful, job and making your computer experience smoother and easier.
Family life/hobbies /community involvement:
Building computers and PC games, long-distance running, election worker. Hope to get back into beer home brewing again someday.
