Women’s Leadership Network announces fall conference lineup

Organized by the Nebraska Alumni Association, the conference features a week of virtual and in-person opportunities that will connect University of Nebraska–Lincoln students and women who have an affinity for the university with opportunities for professional development, mentoring and personal growth. The theme of this year’s conference is “Persevering During a Time of change.”

Featured speakers for the week include:

• Alumna Success Story: Angela Mercurio, 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year

• Community Change Panel: Karen Bell-Dancy, executive director of the YWCA of Lincoln; Amanda Barker, deputy executive director and director of civic health at Civic Nebraska; Tatiana Height, economic development analyst for NCGrowth and SmartUp

• Career Success Panel: Robby White, Hudl; April Rimpley, senior vice president of human resources at Ameritas Mutual Holding Company; Jamie Mohrman, human resources consultant at Zelle Human Resource Solutions; Jessica Schumacher, Nelnet

• Progress of Women’s Roles at University of Nebraska–Lincoln Panel: Tiffany Heng-Moss, dean for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources; Charlie Foster, assistant vice chancellor for inclusive student excellence and director of the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services; M. The Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network is a program that promotes the growth and education of women and creates a nationwide network of female leaders who each have ties to the university. Network events are held throughout the year with conferences hosted twice each year.
