Name: Stacie Zetocha
What is it they say you do? I am the Staff Associate here at CCFL. I am primarily responsible for coordinating the production and distribution of training materials for DHHS-CP&S New Worker Trainings. Some of my other duties include managing the front desk, reserving meeting rooms and vehicles, ordering supplies, creating/editing the newsletter, and anything else people throw my way. :)
Where do you hail from?
I grew up on a farm near Brainard, Nebraska, and attended East Butler Public Schools. I earned my Associate’s Degree in Office Professional with a Medical Focus from Southeast Community College-Lincoln. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Major: Management, Minor: Marketing) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Who are your early influences?
My early influences would have to be my paternal grandparents. They only live a mile down the road from my parents. Some of my fondest memories from my childhood are because of them as my younger sister and I basically lived there during the summers. They taught me that family is the most important thing I will ever have, that hard work pays off so give everything my all, to be proud of my roots, to stay true to myself, to appreciate the small things, and to cherish my youth and health.
Family life/hobbies /community involvement:
I currently live in Lincoln with three roommates. I am the middle-child with two sisters and have two adorable nieces (Tatum, 4, and Sawyer, 2). I work part-time at Legacy Arbors, an assisted living for memory care. Our Employee Enrichment Council there organizes wonderful opportunities for community involvement (trail and park clean-ups, Matt Talbot Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, Children’s Hospital, sand volleyball tournaments for charities, etc.). We also do a lot of fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association (Seniors Rockin’ for a Reason, bake sales, the Walk, etc.). Some of my hobbies include baking/finding new recipes, photography/scrapbooking, enjoying the outdoors, shopping for bargains, and listening to music.
The quotation I live my life by is…
“You can’t change the past, but you can make adjustments in your present for a better future.”
