What is it they say you do:
Mostly I train, but I also work hard on collaboration with community agencies across Nebraska for the units I train. Some people would say I wander aimlessly…this is also true. 

Who are your early influences/who inspired you most:
My mother was by FAR my greatest influence for the first 17 years of my life! She started me on the road to independence at the age of 2 and becoming a self-sufficient brick house of a woman!

What has been your greatest source of career satisfaction/ proudest achievement:
Speaking at multiple national conferences from D.C. to Alaska, working to implement ICWA in Wisconsin and the Parent Partner Program in Iowa through my favorite work with CCFL with the Midwest Child Welfare Implementation Center (MCWIC)!

What is your passion/what you are drawn to/what motivates you/where do you hope to be in five years:
My passion has been working toward an end to domestic violence. My motivation is having lost friends to domestic violence. In 5 years, I hope to be even one ‘bystander’ closer to ending domestic violence.

Outside of work – tent camping, animals (yes, I like animals more than people), and travel. 

Family life/hobbies /community involvement:
It’s just me and my cats at home (yes, I’m the self-proclaimed crazy cat lady) and my hobbies are playing card/board games, playing the piano and watching football (SKOL!). Community involvement includes sitting on the NE Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team, the NE Human Trafficking Taskforce, past President of the Family Violence Council, Training both Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid and fostering cats for a volunteer group in Lincoln.

The quotation I live my life by is......
“It never occurred to me to doubt myself.” - Katherine Hepburn
