My Grandma Lenore's "Pea Soup." It's not split pea soup. Rather, it is a ham-based broth to which cans of peas are added, liquid and all. Homemade dumplings top it off. It was her mother Cecilia's recipe. It is a family favorite. –Allison Jones
My favorite soup would have to be one my grandmother made for my sister and me when we would visit. It was Campbell’s Tomato soup, but she made hers with evaporated milk, giving it a creamy richness. Of course, we had grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it! Yum!! –Chris Wiklund

I make soups all Fall/Winter. Probably the one I make the most is split pea (with ham shank, and a sweet potato, among the usual ingredients). –Barb Sturgis
I love a good tomato soup, especially with grilled cheese. I’ve made my own tomato soup a few times, but it’s more work than I’m willing to put into what I would otherwise consider a quick and easy weeknight meal! So…store bought is more the norm! I like the Pacific brand creamy tomato soup; Trader Joe’s makes a good version too. I also love Panera soup. -Kate Stephenson
