Job Description
• Deliver teaching of a four-week English course in the summer of 2015.
• Successful candidates will work under the direction of the School of Foreign Studies, XJTU.
Main Duties
• Teach six hours a day five days a week for four weeks
• Teach language skills to Chinese college students, including reading, writing and verbal communication in English
• Follow the teaching plan designed by the School of Foreign Studies
• Prepare lessons, choose suitable learning materials and apply various teaching methods to classroom teaching
• Maintain students’ records, provide feedback, assess and supervise students’ progress
• Work in a large teaching team and be available to liaise with colleagues as necessary
• Attend required staff meetings
• Complete other duties assigned by the School of Foreign Studies

Requirements
• Native English speaker
• University degree in relevant area
• Teacher training qualification (Cambridge ESOL, DELTA or an equivalent EFL teaching qualification) would be a plus.
• Experience of teaching, preferably ESL/TESOL/general English
• Experience of teaching Chinese students would be a plus.
• Confidence in teaching a large class (35 students)
• Effective interpersonal skills
