Great Plains Art Museum
Great Plains Art Museum

University of Nebraska-Lincoln museums and galleries will offer special programming, including concerts, exhibitions and family-friendly activities, on December 4 as part of Lincoln’s First Friday Artwalk.

Great Plains Art Museum
Join the Great Plains Art Museum for a December First Friday. The Museum will offer a quilt-pattern art activity, dress-up-your-hot-chocolate bar and holiday treats.

Help the museum celebrate the return of its First Fridays after being closed for flood repairs. Now on display are Gwen Westerman's "We Are Star People" exhibition on the lower level and some choice pieces from the collection on the main level.

First Friday is a great time to pick up holiday gifts from the museum's store, including a new ecotourism poster.

Admission and activities are always free.

International Quilt Study Center & Museum
The International Quilt Study Center & Museum will celebrate the grand opening of favorites from the Byron and Sara Rhodes Dillow Collection. The Byron and Sara Rhodes Dillow Collection of quilts and fabrics includes historically significant and dynamic pieces. The exhibition showcases these pieces while also celebrating the family’s long legacy of quiltmaking.

The Quilt House will offer extended hours and free admission from 4:30-7 p.m. in conjunction with First Friday. Lincoln Southeast High School's Bel Canto group will perform at 5:30 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.

Love Library
Love Library continues to host the 9th Annual UNL Staff Art Show until December 19. The library is open on December 4 until 8 p.m.

Sheldon Museum of Art
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Chamber Singers will give a brief performance during December 4 First Friday events at the Sheldon Museum of Art.

The program, which begins at 5 p.m., will feature holiday music. The Chamber Singers will perform in Sheldon's Great Hall before being joined by an eight-piece brass ensemble in the museum's auditorium.
