Lots of good news the past few weeks for SECD faculty and students.

Angela Dietsch received a Layman Award for her project “Accounting for Taste: The Effects of Sensory Manipulation on Brain Activity and Swallowing Biomechanics.”

Sherri Jones received a Layman New Directions Award for her project “Critical Role for KNCA10 in the Vestibular System.”

Stacie Ray and Hannah Ditmars received an International Seed Grant for their project “Humanitarian Efforts in Nicaragua.”

Ellie Spanel, second year AuD student, received a Global Graduate Fellowship from the UNL Education Abroad Office to support her study abroad experience to Nicaragua where she will be completing a project on humanitarian audiology.

Chelsea Hull, second year AuD student, received a Summer Student Research Fellowship from the American Academy of Audiology and a Plural Publishing Research Award from the Council for Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders for her project "The Impact of Sound Field Amplification Systems on Student Achievement Outcomes.”
