CEHS Welcome Week starts Monday

Welcome Week 2016.
Welcome Week 2016.

CEHS Welcome Week is Aug. 29-Sept. 2. It’s designed to help welcome students to the College of Education and Human Sciences and create an inclusive inviting environment for everyone. Activities include t-shirt giveaways, free food and informational materials.

"This will be a good opportunity for students to learn more about our college, meet each other and give back to the Lincoln Community," said Deb Mullen, associate dean. Mullen, graduate student Alisha Tesfalem and members of the CEHS Student Advisory Board coordinate the week's activities.

Welcome Week also provides an opportunity for students to give back to the community. On Sept. 2, a portion of sales at the downtown Chipotle restaurant will provide funds to Lincoln Literacy, an English language learning program.

Another highlight, and an activity to foster relationships, is movie night on August 31st at the Ross Theater.
