Campus facilities is alerting campus personnel that 33rd Street will be closing for parts of the spring and summer between Holdrege and Madison streets for milling, overlay and storm drainage improvements.
The project will be completed under full roadway closure between Holdrege St. and Madison Ave. Emergency and local access will be maintained at all times. Periodically, all entrances and drives to East Campus from 33rd St. will need to be closed for the milling of the concrete then the new overlay of asphalt. Plan on the 33rd St. entrance to East Campus to be closed for deliveries and any other heavy vehicles for the duration of this project. It would also be advisable for visitors, faculty, and staff to plan on using other entrances to campus for the duration of this project to avoid delays, congestion and other potential hazards on 33rd St.
