Sunday, Jan 14
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will host a free open house Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the downtown Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, 333 S. 13th St. The institute’s courses, symposia, events and travel opportunities are designed specifically for people age 50 years plus.
“OLLI is all about joy in learning,” said Dee Aguilar, OLLI Coordinator. “Through OLLI, people can try new hobbies, listen to instructors give great lectures, take trips that are educational and fun and join others for theater performances, dinners and discussions,” she said.
At the open house, you will be able to get overviews of courses, meet instructors, join OLLI or renew a membership. OLLI offers more than 150 courses and events each year. Winter Term 3 classes begin on Monday, Jan 22. OLLI and its partners will be hosting informational tables with representatives to answer your questions.
A $50 mid-year membership is valid through July 31. Members also receive discounts from our partners to local theaters and other community events.
