"The Mark Dunn Collection" opens on Friday, September 7, at the International Quilt Study Center & Museum.

The International Quilt Study Center & Museum will celebrate the opening of “The Mark Dunn Collection” during its September First Friday festivities from 4-7 p.m. Dunn, the president and owner of Moda Fabrics, will present “Quilts and Their Stories” at 5:30 p.m.

His exhibition, showing in the Lois Gottsch Gallery, draws from his eclectic personal collection of historical, contemporary and art quilts.

The museum will also host and honor students from the Lincoln Public Schools Arts and Humanities Focus Program during First Friday. A display of quilts made by the students is now showing in the Beavers Terrace Gallery.

Light refreshments will be served during the reception.
