CESI will host an Elementary Science Breakfast during the Regional NSTA Conference in Orlando, November 6-8. Our keynote speaker, Page Keeley is the primary author of multiple NSTA press books linking formative assessment, instruction, and learning and a formative assessment probe writer for Glencoe McGraw-Hill. She is a frequent invited speaker at regional and national conferences on the topic of formative assessment in science and teaching for conceptual change. In this keynote presentation, she will answer the question:

What Are Young Children Really Thinking?
Young children form ideas about science well before they encounter them in school. Using questions that probe children's thinking about everyday phenomena and familiar concepts, and encourage science talk, examine some of the remarkable ideas they bring to their learning as well as their surprisingly sophisticated ways of reasoning.

Luncheon tickets are still available and can be purchased at the NSTA Registration Booth, Orlando.
