Hello Chemistry Majors,

Can you believe we’re already in Week 3? Classes are in full swing, the first round of exams is approaching, and maybe you’ve discovered your favorite coffee spot (or your new favorite procrastination spot… I won’t judge). This week is all about finding your rhythm and making small tweaks that set you up for success without burning out.

This week, consider:
  • Check your vibe: How’s your workload feeling? Too heavy, too light, or just right? Make tiny adjustments to keep yourself sane and ahead of deadlines.
  • Experiment with study hacks: Try a new note-taking trick, a fresh study spot, or quiz yourself in fun ways. Need ideas? Check out CAST Academic Coaching.
  • Ask before you stress: Confused about an assignment or lab? Your professors and TAs are happy to help—don’t wait until panic sets in.
  • Make friends with your classmates: Form a study duo, start a group chat, or just say hi. Chemistry is even more fun with people.
  • Explore the extras: Clubs, research, volunteering… even a short event on campus could spark something unexpected.
  • Take care of you: Sleep, food, walks, and little breaks matter just as much as acing that exam. Your brain will thank you.
