There are three ways to register to vote in Nebraska: online, by mail, or in person. All registration types require a valid driver's license or state ID. The easiest way to register is online and the registration portal can be accessed at https://www.nebraska.gov/apps-sos-voter-registration. To register in the mail, you can download and print an application at https://sos.nebraska.gov/elections/voter-forms and send the completed form to your county election office. If you are registering for the first time in Nebraska through mail, you must send a valid photo ID such as a drivers license. Finally, you can also register at various locations in person. You can register to vote when applying or renewing your driver's license at the DMV, DHHS or Department of Education office, or your county election office.
Registration deadlines for the November general election are as follows:
-Online registration must be completed by October 16
-Mail must be postmarked by Oct 16
-In person registration at DMV and other agencies by Oct 16
-In person election office registration by Oct 23
