On January 27, 2013, the third cohort of students will begin their experience for a Certificate of Civic Engagement. The certificate program began in the spring of 2012 with the first cohort; another cohort was added in fall, 2012.
The certificate program is open to all UNL students who have 12 credit hours on their transcript and a GPA of 2.5. The intent of the program is to provide students an opportunity to develop skills in six areas of civic engagement and gain an edge in the job market. Successful completion of the certificate program will be noted on the transcript of participating students.
