By participating in the Certificate of Civic Engagement program, you’ll combine your classes with your passions, activities, and service to develop your ability to change the world.

Who Can Change the World?
• You can. This program is open to any major and provides flexible opportunities to apply those courses and your interests.
• The Certificate Program is spread out over a minimum of 2 years to allow students to develop their skills and plans of action at their own pace.
• This program will NOT delay your graduation! Required ACE courses for your major may also apply towards the certificate.
• This program comes at NO ADDITIONAL COST to you!
Why Should You Change the World?
• You will develop skills in the six (6) areas of Civic Engagement: Civic Identity & Commitment, Leadership, Diversity of Communities & Cultures, Civic Communication, Analysis of Knowledge, and Action.
• You will gain a competitive advantage in the job market by demonstrating your character through your commitment to civic interests.
• The program offers multiple opportunities to gain new perspectives in the community and world around you. You will increase your knowledge and gain rewarding experiences.

You are invited to stop into the Center for Civic Engagement (222 Nebraska Union) to pick up a registration form and to get more information. An orientation meeting will be held on September 2nd from 4-6 pm in Regency Suites A and B. Registration materials may be turned in at this meeting.
