Hope at 5: The Power of Engaging Young People in Volunteerism, Social Action and Philanthropy

Hope College Center presents:

Hope at 5: The Power of Engaging Young People in Volunteerism, Social Action and Philanthropy.

Hope at 5 is a series of lively conversations for students, youth advocates, community leaders, parents and educators who are invested in helping Lincoln’s young people prosper and contribute where they live, learn, work and play.

The first of this series will focus on the power of engaging young people in volunteerism, social action and philanthropy. When young people engage in the life of the community they expand their critical reasoning, build self-worth and leadership skills, develop emotional and social intelligence and experience the value of belonging. They also bring fresh energy, unique talents and new ideas society’s most pressing issues and concerns.

Please come join the conversation and lend your perspective on how to encourage and involve young people in the Lincoln life.
