Dolores: Screening at UNL

Dolores
Dolores

Dolores Huerta is among the most important, yet least known, activists in American history. An equal partner in co-founding the first farm workers unions with Cesar Chavez, her enormous contributions have gone largely unrecognized. Tirelessly leading the fight for racial and labor justice, Huerta evolved into one of the most defiant feminists of the 20th century and continues to fight today at 87 years of age. With intimate and unprecedented access to this intensely private mother of eleven, the film reveals the raw, personal stakes involved in committing one’s life to social change.

This FREE event is presented by NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations, in partnership with University of Nebraska-Lincoln. An informal discussion will follow the screening.
