Virtual workshops for administrators: Prepare for Computer Science and Technology Act
With the recent legislation requiring computer science and technology education throughout K-12 schools and a graduation requirement, Code.org provides a great opportunity for professional learning for teachers at all grade levels.
Code.org is an education innovation nonprofit dedicated to the vision that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education! UNL is the regional partner of Code.org that will assist you whenever you may need. The Code.org site is easy to use and contains hundreds of activities, lesson plans, and tutorials for teachers to use today. Our resources and tutorials are always free to use. Teacher can apply for funding to participate in professional learning workshops, network with educators in their region, and work together to advance computer science education across grade level and subject area!
To inform you of learning and scholarship opportunities for your schools, we are hosting two virtual workshops for principals and counselors on Monday, March 20. The first will be noon to 12:45 p.m., and the second will be 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. If you would like to attend, please register below:
