Marilyn Wolf has been appointed the new chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and began her new position on Sept. 1. She succeeds Steve Goddard, who completed his second term as department chair, and vice chair Witawas Srisa-an, who was interim chair since May.
Wallace Buchholz, director of the Biological Process Development Facility (BPDF) and professor in chemical and biomolecular engineering, retired at the end of August. Mark Riley, the college’s associate dean for research, has been named acting director. Continue reading…
Hongfeng Yu, associate professor of computer science and engineering, became interim director of the Holland Computing Center effective Aug. 30. Yu, who succeeds David Swanson, who died Aug. 11 after a car accident, will serve as interim director for up to one year.
