Dear Colleagues,
One more week until Fall Break!
On Tuesday, October 22 (one of the Fall Break days), we have booked a conference space in Ashland, NE, at the Carol Joy Holling Conference Center (just three miles down the street from Mahoney State Park), Swanson Retreat Center’s Dillon Room.
All College faculty are invited to spend as much of the day as you wish (between 9:30 a.m. to as late as 5 p.m.) to use the facility for a “writing retreat.”
Located just 30 minutes away from both Lincoln and Omaha, participants can enjoy undisturbed time to work on that journal article/book/ writing project.
The conference center provides all attendees with access to their hospitality center, which provides refreshments and snacks all day long. Lunch is also available on-site at a nearby building for those who plan to be there through the noon hour.
But you must RSVP, particularly if you would like the provided lunch! If you are interested in participating in this retreat (and lunch specifically), please let me know by email – lilywang@unl.edu – before noon today (Tuesday, Oct. 15).
If you aren’t able to participate this time but are interested in the College hosting more of these types of events, please also let me know.
