Faculty judges needed for Grad Student Awards, Nebraska Research Days

2021 COE Outstanding Graduate Student Awards

These awards are given annually to recognize our graduate students for their achievements over the past year. Recipients of an Outstanding Graduate Student Award receive a certificate and a $500 award. Awardees will also be recognized in a special section of the COE Employee Awards ceremony on April 9. Seeking 8 faculty judges. Faculty judges will be assigned to review 3-5 nominations and evaluate using a provided rubric.

Friday, March 12: Nominations due
Monday, March 14: Nominations to Judges
Friday, March 26: Judge feedback due
Monday, March 29: Awardees notified

2021 Nebraska Research Days

Video presentations will be available through UNL’s MediaHub channel from April 5-11, 2021. Judges will be assigned up to 4-5 research video presentations to evaluate with a provided rubric and score sheet. Judges will watch the video presentations online at their convenience between April 5-11. Live Q&A sessions for Engineering will take place on Friday, April 16 with undergraduate sessions in the morning and graduate sessions in the afternoon. Judges will be provided with the Zoom link(s), schedule, and instructions in advance for the Q&A sessions. Engineering judges will be paired with engineering participants.

Top 5 Engineering Undergraduate posters and top 5 Engineering Graduate posters will receive a prize (first place, second place, and three honorable mentions).
