Teaching experiences during pandemic is focus of Friday’s EIT series

The Engineering and Computing Education Core (ECEC) Spring Excellence in Teaching Series continues Friday, April 16 with a noon-1 p.m. session on teaching experiences during the pandemic, led by EIT Fellows Alisa Gilmore, associate professor of practice, Electrical and Computer Engineering; Jiong Hu, associate professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering; and Vish Reddi, assistant professor of practice, construction programs, The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction. In this session, the ECEC faculty teaching fellows will share their teaching experiences during the pandemic. They will address challenges and strategies while teaching remotely. Topics include student engagement through Zoom sessions, Canvas course design for remote teaching, and strategies for managing students in a remote teaching session.

The EIT spring series will conclude April 30, with all presentations delivered via Zoom.
