DEI Learning Group sessions begin Tuesday

From Yusong Li, associate dean for faculty and inclusion:

The College of Engineering is launching a series of lunchtime learning sessions for faculty and staff to study various diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) fundamentals together. This effort is in response to one of the outcomes of the climate survey conducted last fall (i.e., to improve general knowledge and culture of DEI in the COE community). We hope we can form a habit to study DEI-related topics, engage in conversations about DEI, and develop a welcoming and inclusive culture.

The DEI group learning sessions will be biweekly and in a hybrid format. We will alternate in-person locations between City Campus and Scott Campus; a Zoom link will be provided for all sessions. The first 15 people to RSVP to each date on that specific campus will receive a free lunch to attend the in-person session!

I invite you to register for the first session:

Time: October 11, noon to 1 p.m.
In-Person Location: 114D Othmer Hall, City Campus
