All in the Hall recycling program aims to make recycling easier and more centralized in UNL buildings.

REMINDER: The College of Engineering facilities follows the university’s All in the Hall recycling program. Waste stations have been installed in high traffic locations throughout the buildings, which means there is no trash pickup in individual offices.

All in the Hall is UNL’s comprehensive recycling program to make recycling easier and more centralized in buildings.

The waste stations have four components:

  • Aluminum cans (yellow)
  • Plastic Bottles & Containers (red): For containers with recycling symbols with numbers 1 (PET), 2 (HDPE), or 5 (PP)
  • Paper (light blue): Mixed paper items such as colored and white paper, card stock, non-corrugated cardboard and paperboard items including cereal, soda can and tissue boxes
  • Landfill (black): Items such as glass, plastic utensils, paper coffee cups, chip bags, plastic sacks and food

Other notes

  • Corrugated cardboard is also accepted at these stations; it should be flattened and placed behind the stations.
  • Glass is not accepted for recycling and should be placed in the landfill stream.
  • All items placed in any of the four recycling compartments should be clean, dry, and free of food or other non-recyclable waste.
