Dear Colleagues,
We're excited to kick off our first Fall 2024 Inclusive Excellence Lunch on Friday, Sept. 27, from noon to 1 p.m. This session will feature Amanda Murtaugh, Senior Therapist and Outreach Coordinator from UNO Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), who will share insights into the CAPS services available to students on Scott Campus. Faculty and staff from both City and Scott Campuses are warmly invited to join. Since many of us work and teach across both campuses, this session will be a valuable opportunity to learn how we can better support Scott Campus students.
The session will be conducted as a hybrid event, connecting City Campus and Scott Campus, as well as being accessible via Zoom. Please take note that we have a new location on City Campus (KH 505AA). Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis for approximately 25 participants. The COE Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn series provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to come together over lunch and explore topics related to inclusive excellence. This initiative stems from the Fall 2021 climate survey - https://engineering.unl.edu/climate-survey-report-and-recommendations/ - which highlighted the need to enhance knowledge and culture of inclusive excellence within the COE community. Since its launch in Fall 2022, the series has welcomed over 300 participants, representing more than 100 unique individuals.
