Workplace Bullying in Academia is focus of Nov. 5 COE Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn

Dear Colleagues,

Our next Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn will be on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from noon-1 pm. This session will be led by Dr. Kevin Hanrahan, the Director of Faculty Development in the EVC’s office. Kevin will present a workshop on Workplace Bullying in Academia. This workshop will help participants learn about the complexity of bullying across the lifespan, identify workplace bullying, understand what workplace bullying looks like in academia, and understand research-based strategies for responding to workplace bullying.

The session will be conducted as a hybrid event, connecting City Campus and Scott Campus, as well as being accessible via Zoom. Please take note that we have a new location on City Campus (KH 505AA).

If you missed the RSVP deadline, you are still welcome to join us with your own lunch or through Zoom.

Time: Tuesday, Nov. 5, noon-1 p.m.
In-Person Location: Kiewit Hall A505AA (City Campus) & PKI 100A (Scott Campus)

The COE Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn series provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to come together over lunch and explore topics related to inclusive excellence. This initiative stems from the Fall 2021 climate survey, which highlighted the need to enhance knowledge and culture of inclusive excellence within the COE community. Since its launch in Fall 2022, the series has welcomed over 300 participants, representing more than 100 unique individuals.

If you can’t make this Inclusive Excellence Lunch & Learn, future session dates can be found in this link. Look forward to seeing many of you on Nov. 5 .

Thanks,
Yusong Li,
Associate Dean for Faculty and Inclusion
