Aich to participate in Nov. 13 Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam

Nirupam Aich, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, is among the six UNL faculty “slammers” at the 2024 Nebraska Research Days Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4-6 p.m. in the Wick Alumni Center. Register to attend at link below.

The Slam will highlight faculty sharing their research ideas and vision. A panel of judges from the Lincoln community will select the winner, who will receive a $1,000 prize. Audience members also will select their favorite, who will receive a special audience choice award. Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend the Slam.

This year’s Slammers are:

  • Nirupam Aich, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering
  • Teddy Garcia-Aroca, assistant professor of plant pathology
  • James Garza, associate professor of history
  • Becky Haddad, assistant professor of agricultural leadership, education and communication
  • Andrew Little, assistant professor, School of Natural Resources
  • Wendy Smith, research professor of mathematics and director of the Center for Science, Mathematics and Computer Education
