Volunteer reviewers needed for Layman Award proposals; register by Wednesday

The Office of Research and Innovation is seeking faculty volunteers to serve as reviewers of Layman Award proposals. Reviewers are needed from every discipline at the university. Register by Wednesday, April 30, at the link below.

Faculty from all academic ranks—including those earlier in their career—are encouraged to volunteer.
Faculty who volunteer and are selected to serve as peer reviewers of Layman Award proposals will:

  • Obtain training and practical experience as a proposal reviewer.
  • Network and collaborate with new colleagues.
  • Gain line-of-sight to the wide range of scholarly expertise and activity across the university community.
  • Help guide the future direction of research, scholarship, and creative activity at Nebraska.
  • Receive a service acknowledgement from UNL’s Office of Research and Innovation.

Reviewers will be needed for nine to 12 hours during May. Faculty may complete the online form (link below) by Wednesday, April 30, to register their interest in volunteering.

Questions about volunteering to serve as a Layman Award proposal reviewer, or nominating a colleague to do so, should be sent to unlresearch@unl.edu.
