Nebraska Engineering launches state’s first robotics engineering major

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has launched a robotics engineering undergraduate major, the first of its kind in the state and a milestone in the university’s long-term investment in interdisciplinary, hands-on engineering education.

Research on release of micro-, nanoplastics focus of Fernandez-Ballester CAREER grant

With a $739,205 National Science Foundation Early Career Award Program grant, Lucia Fernandez-Ballester is working to better understand how micro- and nanoplastics enter the environment, with the goal of designing safer plastic materials.
