College of Engineering faculty Jessica Deters and Emmeline Lemos Watson have received College Distinguished Teaching Awards from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Up to 15 of these awards are presented annually based on recommendations from the colleges.

The ASEE Midwest Section Conference will be held Sept. 13–15 at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. The paper submission deadline is July 31. They are collecting early interest by June 19 (no commitment required). Theme is "From First Interest to First Job: Building the Engineering Continuum."
Applications are being accepted through July 1 for the 2026-27 cohort of the College of Engineering Graduate Student Teaching Fellows program, which prepares graduate students who are currently (or will be) teaching at the postsecondary level and provides associate-level certification.
