DoD Funding for Researchers session is Nov. 18

Department of Defense Funding for University Researchers
Tuesday, Nov. 18, 3 p.m. (virtual)

This session will explore why Department of Defense (DOD) funding may be a valuable resource for your research, how the DOD approach differs from agencies like the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health, and how to build connections within the DOD ecosystem.

The presenter is Julia G. Barzyk, Ph.D., founder of Wise Investigator LLC and a former Program Manager at the U.S. Army Research Office, where she managed a portfolio of basic research in geoscience and civil engineering. Dr. Barzyk also had management responsibilities for DOD’s University Research Initiatives programs: Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) and the Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP). In addition, she led the Defense Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DEPSCoR) capacity-building program for the Army.
