Applications are open through Dec. 17 for the third cohort of the NU 2 Foundations program, which teaches participants how to best position themselves to secure private foundation funding to support their research, scholarship or creative endeavors.
A collaborative effort between the Office of Research and Innovation (R&I) and the University of Nebraska Foundation (UNF), NU 2 Foundations is a four-session program that runs Jan. 27-March 24, 2026. It will consist of a combination of instruction and interactive workshops. Program sessions will be taught by R&I and UNF staff.
Applications are welcome from full-time UNL faculty and staff who are in the early stages of developing a research, scholarship or creative endeavor funding request with plans to submit to a private foundation.
Visit the program webpage (link below) to view the full schedule and apply.
R&I will also host Foundations 101, a workshop designed for faculty beginning their pursuit of private foundation funding. Those interested in participating in NU 2 Foundations are encouraged to attend. The workshop will be held Dec. 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Regency Suite. Registration is required. A complimentary lunch is included.
