Giuseppe Cataldo, NASA assistant chief for technology, will present the next Durham School Distinguished Lecture: “Data-Driven Uncertainty Quantification and Risk-Informed Decision Making for Space Mission Development” on Friday, April 17 at 12:15 p.m. in PKI 160 (Scott Campus), Kiewit Hall A512 (City Campus) or via Zoom.

This lecture provides an overview of a digital-twin framework designed to support the development of complex, large-scale, multidisciplinary systems throughout their life cycle while optimizing key resources such as schedule and cost. The framework integrates advanced simulation, analysis, and uncertainty-quantification capabilities that have been successfully applied to missions, including the James Webb Space Telescope and Mars Sample Return.

To reserve a boxed lunch or to receive the Zoom link, register by Tuesday, April 14 at the link below.
