Federal approval recognizes UNL, UNMC joint accreditation and combined reporting of research and academics for national rankings.
For the first time in 58 years, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center will be measured together in national rankings, following federal approval of a shared accreditation structure. This is expected to result in a shift in national research rankings.
