Prahalada Rao (MME) – named one of 17 Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers nationally for his exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the manufacturing industry
Joe Luck (BSE) – named educator/ researcher of the year by the Precision Ag Institute
Mid-America Transportation Center and Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs – helped create the Sovereign Native Youth STEM Leadership Academy
Lily Wang (graduate programs/faculty development) – named president-elect of the Acoustical Society of America for 2017-18
DSAEC – held its 15th annual Tradition of Excellence Golf Tournament in Omaha (60+ teams and close to 250 construction industry professionals)
Ruiguo Yang (MME) – earned Early Stage Investor Project award from the Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication (NCICB). Yang and Limei Zhang (biochemistry) earned the ESIP awards.
Yong-Rak Kim (CIVE) and Ph.D. students Madieh Khedmati and Hani Alanazi - received Best Paper Award at 2017 International Conference on Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Constructed Infrastructure Facilities
Charles Riedesel and Ryan Patrick (CSE) - Capacity Building Grant awarded to enable computer science and computer engineering students to travel and study in the Middle East
