Weekly Workflow

Weekly Workflow is a special edition of Bits & Bytes that will serve as a Monday check-in message to help CSE students stay connected to the department during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will include announcements, resources, tips, and messages from our department chair.

We continue to encourage everyone to visit our CSE COVID-19 web page for regular updates and additional resources.

Contribute to CSE Digital Yearbook:
We may not be holding a traditional graduation ceremony this year, but we wanted to make sure you can still share special memories with your friends and fellow students.

Check out our CSE Digital Yearbook page: http://go.unl.edu/cseyearbook

Post your favorite photos and memories, or share well wishes for the class of 2020. All CSE students, faculty, and staff are welcome to contribute!

A message from the CSE Advising Team:
Finish well! As you move into finals week and wrap up the semester in what is being called “unprecedented times,” we wish for you a semester that ends well, and more importantly, we hope that you are staying well.

As you reflect back on the semester and finish your finals, do things that help you stay well. Find time for yourself, do what you like, take a moment to breathe. Talk a walk, drink water, laugh with friends, do something that makes you smile. If you find that you need someone to talk to, reach out. There are excellent resources on campus and those resources are still accessible to you.

We know it may not have been easy to schedule an appointment with an advisor the last few weeks, but advisors are still taking appointments, and yes, checking and responding to emails (albeit slower than usual).

We want you to know advisors will be available all summer. We can connect you to resources, help with your schedule, answer questions, and chat if you just want to discuss future plans.

For now, we wish you the best as you finish this semester, as odd as it was. Please take a deep breath and know that all will be well!

A message from the department chair:
This is my last missive to you for the semester. Some of you will graduate soon, others will be with us again this summer or fall. We are very proud of all of you under ordinary circumstances. We are especially proud of the way in which you have carried yourselves during these difficult times. We know that you will continue to take care of yourselves and others. We know that you will be successful.
