HCC seeks undergraduate student employee

The Holland Computing Center (HCC) is seeking an undergraduate student employee for the summer with the potential to continue through the 2020-21 school year. Multiple projects are available for the student through the summer. The projects are designed to give flexibility to the student to create a solution. The projects all include significant programming, integration with external software, and dealing with big data in nationally distributed cyberinfrastructure.

The Holland Computing Center is the preeminent high performance computing center in the state of Nebraska. HCC serves all four campuses of the University of Nebraska and collaborates with national cyberinfrastructure projects such as the Open Science Grid.

This position is designed for the summer, but has a potential to continue through the school year. The student would work 20 hours per week during the summer. The student is expected to work remotely this summer. The working location will be evaluated during the fall and will follow the university’s recommendations.
