Nebraska students are invited to apply to the Qiskit Global Summer School.

Qiskit Global Summer School is a virtual two-week event designed to empower the next generation of quantum developers with the knowledge to write quantum applications on their own. It is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that will teach students with little to no quantum computing experience to write quantum algorithms, understand superconducting device physics, and solve quantum chemistry problems using Qiskit. The Qiskit Global Summer School is designed to have minimal prerequisites, and anyone with familiarity with matrix multiplication and some experience with Python programming is encouraged to apply.

The last day of the Qiskit Global Summer School includes a discussion about careers in quantum computing, led by our own researchers as well as members of the IBM Q Network. We hope to highlight the different career paths in quantum computing and showcase the different possibilities of such a career in industry.

The Qiskit Global Summer School will take place from July 20 through July 31, 2020. After registering, the IBM Quantum team will review the list of applicants and send out invitations to those selected. Anybody interested should be sure to register before July 10, 2020.
