June and Paul E. Schorr III Center for Computer Science and Engineering

The Schorr Center will be closed on the weekends of April 28-29 and May 5-6 because of a construction project in South Stadium. During these four days, construction crews will be hoisting materials above the Schorr Center with a crane, so the Schorr Center will be strictly off limits to all personnel. University Police will be on site each of these mornings to facilitate the evacuation of the building. During the closures, card access will be revoked and barricades will be in place to prevent entry to the Schorr Center. The evacuation will begin at 6:00 a.m. and the building will reopen at 5:30 p.m. on each of these days.

Please notify any students or other personnel who may have been planning to work in the Schorr Center on either of these weekends so that they can make alternate arrangements. CSE's general purpose computer lab in Avery Hall is available for anyone who wants to work from campus that day; please contact CSE Systems Administration at manager@cse.unl.edu to make arrangements for access to this room if you do not already have it.

Note that bicycle racks have been moved to the southwest corner of the building for the duration of this construction project. Bikes should be parked only at the bike racks and cannot be secured to light poles, building columns, or other objects. The benches were removed from the front of the building to prevent them from being damaged by heavy equipment, but they will be returned at the end of the project.
