Software engineering and computer engineering students are needed as volunteers for Computing Exploration Day.
Software engineering and computer engineering students are needed as volunteers for Computing Exploration Day.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering will be hosting a virtual Computing Exploration Day this year on Saturday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to noon in replace of our CSE Hack Day last year. High school students in grades 9-12 who are interested in learning more about computing and/or about our department are encouraged to attend. A few professors and current students will be presenting during the morning.

Learn more about the day here: https://cse.unl.edu/computing-exploration-day.

The department is looking for a few current student volunteers with a passion for outreach who could monitor a zoom room, admit students to the room, monitor the chat, or serve as overall coordinators for the event. This is a great leadership opportunity and can add to your resume. To volunteer for a 30, 45, 1-hour, or morning shift please go to: https://go.unl.edu/explorationsignup.

We need your help in order to make this day a success! If you have additional questions about the event, please email our outreach/recruitment coordinator at brittney.palmer@unl.edu.
