Vaccination is one of the most effective tools to protect yourself and our Husker community. COVID vaccines are safe and have been shown to be highly effective at preventing COVID-19 according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There are incredible benefits to being vaccinated against COVID-19, including getting to do some of things you had to avoid due to the pandemic.

Vaccination Opportunities

Wednesday, Dec. 8 — 10 am to 2 p.m. in the Nebraska Union’s Regency Suite;
Wednesday, Dec. 8 — 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Nebraska East Union’s Prairie Suite.

Registration for second dose (Pfizer only) or booster recipients is available through the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department. Huskers seeking a first dose should begin the registration process here.

If receiving a second dose or booster, you will need to bring your vaccine card. Walk-ins are welcome at both clinics.

The University Health Center pharmacy offers single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines on a drop-in basis — no appointment is needed. Only current students, faculty and staff are eligible. Alumni and dependents are ineligible.

Once you are fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to submit your information to the UNL voluntary vaccine registry.

Voluntary COVID-19 Registry

The registry allows faculty, staff and students to submit their name, NUID number, preferred email, affiliation with the university, details on vaccine type and dates received, and upload documentation. Please do NOT submit information about a vaccine booster shot to the UNL voluntary vaccination registry. At this time, a booster shot is not required to be considered fully vaccinated. Details are available in the registry.
