Celebration of National Black History Month – Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series
February is the National Black History Month. Black History Month celebrates achievements by African Americans and recognizes their role in U.S. history. In honor of the National Black History Month, we are thrilled to be hosting Dr. Norman Fortenberry as the Distinguished Speaker in the College of Engineering Seminar Series. Dr. Fortenberry is the Executive Director of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). I have attached a flyer of his bio and seminar information to this email. His schedule is as follows:
• Friday, February 25, 11:30 am -12:30 pm, Presentation, Title “21st Century Engineering: Implications for Students, Faculty, and Curricula”
• Friday, February 25, 12:30 pm – 1:30pm, Discussion with faculty, students and staff on opportunities and challenges for underrepresented scholars and students
