Student Affairs IT is hiring a software developer.

Description: The software developer is responsible for planning, designing, developing, debugging, testing, and implementing software and applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. This role is also responsible for configuring, supporting and managing systems not developed by Student Affairs IT. The Software Developer provides front line support for a variety of managed and unmanaged solutions and software. This individual will evaluate requests for new or modified software applications and develop client partnerships by consulting with customers to identify current operating procedures and clarify objectives for automating and streamlining processes. In addition, this position will actively research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, frameworks, and practices toward building secure applications.

Minimum qualifications: Associate’s degree Computer Science or related field; education equivalency considered. Two years of information systems experience as well as the candidate must have excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Experience developing and maintaining static and dynamic web applications and forms. Experience providing technical support to end users. Microsoft SQL or MySQL experience is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirement.
