Kapspersky Lab is pleased to announce its second CyberSecurity for the Next Generation – North American Cup student information security research competition, hosted by NYU-Poly during their annual CSAW security event (http://www.poly.edu/csaw2012), November 15 -17, 2012.
This second call for papers comes 3 weeks before the submissions deadline of October 16. Submissions may be published or unpublished, and significant unpublished results from current research is encouraged.
The benefits for students are:
- Authors of the top 15 papers will be invited to present and defend their work in front of a program committee made up of Professors, Kaspersky Lab and industry experts, as well as an audience of other students, faculty, and industry experts attending CSAW.
- The opportunity to network with renowned security experts, including many from Kasperky Lab, university faculty, and nearly 100 other student competitors in a total of 7 security competitions.
- A chance to win cash prizes, with the top 3 students winning a place at the international conference held in Europe
- All appropriate travel and accommodation costs for the 15 finalists will be covered by Kaspersky
Submissions are open until October 16. Students submitting a paper or part of a paper that has already been published or submitted to another conference will need to get permission to submit because winning papers will be published on the Kaspersky website.
